The beautiful Baring Street apartment is located in the attractive Powelton Village neighborhood, minutes walk from UPenn, Drexel, the university hospitals and the Monell Institute as well as from subway stations, Amtrak's 30th Street Station. It is... also walking distance from the Schuylkill River, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and many other attractions. The apartment is faculty owned and designed with visiting researchers in mind and they offer excellent rental options for university researchers, post-docs and medical residents.

This large, modern loft-style apartment is on the third floor of a historic house, built in the 1880s. The apartment as its own AC/Heat, elegant tiles, large casement windows. The kitchen is recently modernized and includes fridge, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a small laundry machine and dryer. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and has a deep-soak tub and shower. Fully furnished, and with wifi, this is an excellent short-term rental for visiting scholars to Penn, Drexel and hospitals. It is a very quiet location with large windows and good light.

Powelton Village is one of Philadelphia's most beautiful neighborhoods and Baring is one of its most beautiful streets with large trees and grand houses. It is only minutes walk from the University of Pennsylvania campus, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Schuylkill River Park, with its great bike and running paths, and to so many other great sites. There are many supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and activities. There are also bike shares and car shares within a block.

Lease is $1,750/mo. + utilities for long-term leases (6 months or more). $1,925/mo + utilities for leases less than 6 months. For shorter term rentals a flat rate of $180 covers all utilities: heat, AC, water, electricity, gas and basic wifi, which is below cost. Longer term rentals can pay a mix of flat rate and direct utilities. The apartment is fully furnished.
